Our previous annual report concluded with the expectation that “QuarkNet activities in our center are back again, and we look forward to inviting high school students for MasterClasses soon!” I am happy to report that the Rice/UH QuarkNet center is back at its full strength following the “post” pandemic workshop in June 2021.  Since then, we have seen increased attendance and interest from high school teachers, students, and faculty from both Rice University and the University of Houston.

2023 marked a change in leadership for the University of Cincinnati (UC) QuarkNet team:
Conor Henderson  took over from Mike Sokoloff as university lead mentor,
and Emily Rosen (St Ursula Academy) and Martin Wells (Summit Country Day School) took over as lead teachers after the retirement of Jeff Rodriguez.

The Virginia Tech QuarkNET center hosted a summer workshop from August 2^nd till August 4^th, with the last day lead by Ken Cecire and be a Virginia Tech and Virtual Center New Questions workshop. At this workshop we had the participation of the Virginia Tech and William and Mary QuarkNET centers together with the Virtual QuarkNET Center. Prof.

The University of Oklahoma (OU) and Oklahoma State University (OSU) QuarkNet groups again joined forces for a lively summer QuarkNet Teacher Workshop.  This year’s workshop was hosted at OU from July 24-26.
