2018 Annual Report - Oklahoma State

Thank you to everyone involved for making 2018 a huge success.

We has two ATLAS Masterclasses in the spring.  Although a few high schools had to cancel due to the Oklahoma teacher walkout, we still got two teachers to bring 17 students from area high schools.   (2018 ATLAS Masterclass Photos: http://osuhep.okstate.edu/atlas-masterclasses-photos/album/14-march-15-2018-putnam-city-west-hs)

The QuarkNet summer workshop for teachers was a huge success.  We owe a huge thank you to Nate Unterman, who lead the Cosmic Ray e-Lab.  The teachers really enjoyed constructing the cosmic ray detectors and performing the various experiments.  This was so successful, I susect we will do this again in the not-too-distant future.  (2018 QuarkNet Workshop Photos: http://osuhep.okstate.edu/quarknet-summer-workshops-photos/album/16-quarknet-2018)

We look forward to next year and thank the NSF for extending the funding of the QuarkNet program!  High school teacher and students in Oklahoma do not have much exposure to basic research and QuarkNet has been one of our most successful tools for getting high school students engaged in and excited about physics.
