EDIT School is a program for researchers in their last year of their PhD or to postdocs who want a deeper knowledge on the major aspects of detectors. EDIT School is good for physicists who have a small amount of hardware experience. It provides academic courses and hands-on laboratories and the school gives access to leading-edge experiments. The first school took place at CERN in 2011 and the most recent school was in 2018 at Fermilab. The Fermilab EDIT School had written instructions for the Multi-wire Proportional chambers, a type of tracking chamber that tracks charged particles through cathode planes and anode wires. The code guided the participants through capturing data from the chambers and creating histograms through ROOT, which is an analysis program that is used to make plots. The main challenge is that it has been four years since the code has been used, which could mean that there are possible problems that lie in the code. The EDIT code was able to start up smoothly by first starting up the beam and collecting data. Once the data was collected the environment was set up, which determined the version of root that is being used. After data collection, files were compiled into the analist.dat file using the getlist command. There were no serious problems in the instructions. The main issues were in the wrong ROOT installation in the test beam machines and issues with X11 forwarding between machines
