FIT Weekly Report- Week 5

What did you do this week?:
This week, I continued collecting data for an experiment I have started a week ago. I was gathering data on the height in feet of the tides and the number of muons every thirty minutes. I gathered thee data for three hours each day I was testing.
Why did you do that?:
The reason for doing an experiment with the tides versus the muons was to see if the gravity of the earth, which was measured using the tides, has any correlation with muon counts. This experiment allows us to have a deeper understanding of muons and what kinds of factors could interfere with their number.
What are you doing next?:
Next, I will be making a graph for the tide and muon experiment and uploading my results onto the internet. Then I would be starting a larger experiment that will be testing electromagnetic fields against muon counts.
Why are you doing that?:
I will be making a graph for the experiment I have been recently working on for the past two weeks because it would mke it much more easier to analyze the results and determine if there is any correlation between the tides and the muon counts. The larger experiment that I will be doing next will allow us to see if there are any facor that could affect the number of muons.
