"Masterclass Institutes Collaborating in the Americas V" (MICA V) is a program to build a colaboraction between research groups in particle physics and groups of high school physics teachers at the University og Notre Dame (ND) and Pontifícia Universidad Católica de Chile  (UC). The 2019 program centers on:

  • Measurements with a cosmic ray detectors to search for effects of  a geomagnetic anomaly in the southern hemisphere
  • Outreach and education by means of workshops using particle physics masterclasses
  • Outreach and education through use of comsic ray detectors
