Saturday Morning Physics - Fall 2020 Announcement

Greetings QuarkNet teachers!

The Saturday Morning Physics (SMP) application for the Fall 2020 online session is open! SMP is a free-of-charge series of eleven lectures and tour visits given by Fermilab scientists. The program’s purpose is to further the understanding and appreciation of modern physics among high school students.

The lectures are aimed at high school students without any previous scientific knowledge. All of the lectures, tours, and question and answer sessions will be held online via Zoom for the Fall 2020 session. A draft of the current lecture schedule is available at this link: https://saturdaymorningphysics.fnal.gov/fall-session-2020/.

The application deadline for the Fall Session is September 21. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance soon after that date. Here is a direct link to the application: https://tinyurl.com/Fall2020SMPApp.

If you can send this information on to your students, the SMP team would greatly appreciate it. Please e-mail saturdaymorningphysicsstudents@fnal.gov with any questions!

Best regards,
