2025 Boston Fall Meeting at Northeastern University

For a change of pace, we held our fall meeting this year at Northeastern and enjoyed conversation about physics teaching and presentations by Rick Dower and Prof. Johan Bonilla Castro. Rick concluded his series on the Lagrangian perspective in physics with a talk that included simple examples of the application of Lagrangian mechanics.

Prof. Bonilla Castro gave a fascinating account of his journey into physics and his interest in physics communication. Then he described recent efforts to resolve two discrepancies between theory and experiment in particle physics: W-boson mass and g-2 value of the muon. This provided an interesting update on topics we had highlighted in our 2023 Summer Workshop on recent anomalies in particle physics.
