My Learning and Teaching process since last 20+ years
Hello,
This is Bipin Sonawane, Assitant Professor in Physics, Amity University Maharashtra. I did my B.Sc, M.Sc and Ph.D from Mumbai University. I am learning and teching Particle Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Mathematicel Physics to B.Sc and M.Sc students. Before Amity University I was engeged in teaching and lerning process with a Secondary School, Siddharth School, Wadala, Mumbai (1999-2000), Ruparel college, Mahim ,Mumbai ( 2004-2009), Model College, Kalyan, Thane (2009-2010), R.Z. Shah College, Mulund Mumbai (2010-2011), Research Scholar at Mumbai University where I conducted tutorials and Nuclear Physics Lab for M.Sc, students (2012-2018) and Amity University (2018 -till date). You would have a questions in your mind, why so many institutes, right? the answer is these were contractual basis engagements for a tenure and now Amity is a first kind of engagement without any contract or tenure.
In these long association with different class of students I can say that I have learnt a lot from the students and through the interactions and questions. They used to ask questions like- what is this the universe, what is this unverse made up of, how big is this universe, electron is wave or particle or wave and particle, what is dark matter matter and dark energy and so many. These interactions motivated me to pursue my reserch in particle physics and now I am feeling yhat I know very little, I need to know more and more deeper so that I could exploe the reality hidden by mother nature.
I also found that the minds of young students are too powerful and too sharp. They need to train and motivate in proper way and technique. Thses minds are really too hot to handle, one must be well equipped to move with them. The process of teaching and learning with these young brains is the best way to learn the reality and a Nobel path or profession. I am fortunate that I am doing and learning quantum mechanics, Quantum Chromodynamics, particle physics with a great assocition with the brilliant students as my friends. I would like to expand this association at different level with additional dimensions.
