2024 JHU WZH Masterclass

We had a fantastic turnout at this year's Masterclass! There were students from all over Maryland, from the following schools:

  • Richard Montgomery HS, Rockville MD
  • Hereford HS, Baltimore MD
  • Towson HS, Baltimore MD

 

Over 60 students all across Maryland, at the 2024 JHU Masterclass! 

Itinerary:

  1. Arrive at 9:30
  2. 9:30-11:30 - Combination Intro talk and Q&A (J Smith)
  3. 11:30-12:30 - Details on the CMS detector and the iSpy event display interface (M Swartz)
  4. 12:30-14:00 - Data analysis and working lunch - WZH single-lepton and dilepton data from CMS
  5. 14:00-14:40 - Discussion of results, uncertainty, etc. (M Swartz)
  6. 14:40-15:00 - Group photo, short break
  7. 15:00-15:30 - Video conference (S Natale, S Wetzler, K Cecire)
  8. 15:30-16:00 - Wrap up & clean up
