ATLAS and CMS Data Workshops

  • goals:
    • understand and be able to facilitate workshops
    • improvement of workshops
    • create annotated agenda for us
  • examine/try pieces with which we are not as familiar 
  • end of 2-day version has data exploration...we need to work on that and come up with things participants can do and understand in real time

CMS e-Lab

  • goals:
    • understand and be able to facilitate workshops
    • improvement of e-Lab
  • work on how to ramp students up to data analysis (masterclass? mass calc Z? CMS data experess? etc...)
  • require Z mass plot poster as step 1...then to accomplish step 2 of the project, that is no longer available
  • discuss our experience of what does and does not work with kids in the e-Lab
  • come up with studies kids can do that are "beyond Z mass" and interesting and challenging - try some out? - create a list w/description
  • work on icons and arrangement for new e-Lab data interface; see
