Creating a banner in Drupal 10

In the latest version of the QuarkNet site, based on Drupal 10, it is possible to create a page with a banner, like the About page linked from the main page. If you take a look, you will see that there is a banner at the top with part of a CMS event image and the page title. If you want to make a page like that, please follow these instructions below:

  1. Create a landing page from Add Content.

  1. Under the section select Second Banner. Do NOT put any content in the section above, marked "Body". (This is different from what you normally do when creating a page or doc.)

  1. Add the image, title and width you want for the banner.
  2. Here is an example page: https://quarknet.org/node/2710
  3. Beneath the "Banner" section you will see a button that says "Add HP - Hero Banner" Do not choose the button but instead choose the pull-down tab next to it.
  4. In the pull-down, choose "Add Introduction".
  5. The introduction section will appear. Put your content there.
  6. Note: if you want a section title for this, type it in the "Title" box. Otherwise leave it blank.
