Creating a banner in Drupal 10
In the latest version of the QuarkNet site, based on Drupal 10, it is possible to create a page with a banner, like the About page linked from the main page. If you take a look, you will see that there is a banner at the top with part of a CMS event image and the page title. If you want to make a page like that, please follow these instructions below:
- Create a landing page from Add Content.
- Under the section select Second Banner. Do NOT put any content in the section above, marked "Body". (This is different from what you normally do when creating a page or doc.)
- Add the image, title and width you want for the banner.
- Here is an example page: https://quarknet.org/node/2710
- Beneath the "Banner" section you will see a button that says "Add HP - Hero Banner" Do not choose the button but instead choose the pull-down tab next to it.
- In the pull-down, choose "Add Introduction".
- The introduction section will appear. Put your content there.
- Note: if you want a section title for this, type it in the "Title" box. Otherwise leave it blank.
