Opening Session

• Introductions (name, school, subject teach, years in QN, masterclass experience…)
• What is QuarkNet? QuarkNet.org 

Speaker:

• David Aplin, VR Lab in the UW Freshman Lab

  learned how to use VR tech and virtual images to identify particles qualitatively and quantitively.

Speaker: 

• David Pengra, Quantum Physics Lab

  Advanced class lab - how to use nuclear physics equipment (radioactive or alpha decay) and collect/analyze the data. Also, modify the equipment to collect data on low-energy particles

  At the end of the workshop, all teachers and students visit the physics classroom while students are doing their lab. The teachers have a chance to talk to UW students.
