Making it ‘Round the Bend - Quantitative

Students measure the effects of electric and magnetic fields on particles. 

Students use online animations that enable them to measure how charged particles can be accelerated and their paths deflected. By experimenting with these effects in the simulation, they can draw conclusions about these interactions. The quantitative version of this activity is includes calculations and relies on creation of mathematical models from careful and systematic experimentation.
